Kayak Fishing for BIG Black Sea Bass – Jigging a Limit

In this video I am jigging sea bass in NYC waters. I fish from a Hobie Outback and this video takes place in the first week of August 2015. I am jigging a 5″ Bass Assassin in lime. I thread the bait onto a 1 ounce Kalin Jig head and tie that directly to three or four feet of fluorocarbon fishing line.

I tie the leader to a 120lb Spro Barrel Swivel and connect my main line, KastKing 15lb braided line to that. I spool up a KastKing Orcas 2000 series spinner with the line. My fishing rod is a KastKing Kayak Phantom Rod MH Action.

I select where to fish based on readings from my fish finder. Sea bass orient to rocks, and wrecks. Occasionally I will mark bait and the fish themselves over the bait. I fished over a dozen pieces in this video as well.
